Though my website has been up since late summer, it's taken until just tonight for me to get my first contact through my Contact page. Today is yet another milestone in Better Mousetrap Guitar history.
Spent a little bit of time in the shop this evening gluing down the headstock veneer on Phil's 4-string (pictured below). I tried out a new method of keeping the wedge from sliding during clamping using some dowels and it worked flawlessly. In addition to the headstock veneer, I prepped the headstock ears for all three of the ukuleles; thinning down some ash, laminating some Peruvian walnut and birdseye maple, and preparing some ash and flame maple for gluing.
Yeah, today was a good day.
